Countdown Begins

11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Taiwan here we come! Yes, Yes, Yes, we got our travel dates! Praise God! It happened today on my son's 6th birthday. I got the call early this morning. I decided not to tell anyone, not even my husband. So I wrote on a bright green paper "the countdown begins,,, we are going to get your sister and brother. Love, Mommy" I wrapped it up like one of the presents. All the family was over for Zane's party, he unwrapped it and Zarra read it to everyone. They were all very happily surprised.
I am so excited! This is the moment I have been waiting for. I booked our flights right away. We are leaving on March 9th, receiving the kids on the 12th, and will be home on the 19th. Now I have to find a hotel that is not booked. I want one that is near a metra station, so we can use that for transportation. Fellow adoptive parents that have traveled any suggestions? I can't believe I will be holding my babies in two weeks. Friends, family, fellow bloggers thank you all for your continued prayers through the hard times. Your support has meant a lot to me.

Hopeful

My adoption agency has agreed to talk with the orphanage social worker. I got our hemo specialist to write a letter for us. All in hopes of still getting an early March travel date. The mother in me is hopeful that this will all work out sooner than later. On the other hand I am at peace and know that God is in control. We will see His good work completed on a date He has already chosen. My two bio kids where both two weeks over due! Do you think God wants to keep building me up in the patience department? Uhm, it seems so. Well I better go pack up my spring cloths just in case we get a moments notice to leave. The weather will be high in the 70's low 60's. I am ready for some warmer temperatures.

Delayed

Sorry I have not posted in awhile, but there has been no updates. I wanted my next update to be the exciting News of when we where leaving. Well this post is not that exciting update I had hoped for. Today I got somewhat of an upsetting update. Due to medical reasons they are delaying travel until mid to end of March. Don't worry it is not an emergency. O.k. so now I have open that box of questions. What medical reasons, you may be thinking? We have only recently shared this with our close family but it is nothing to keep a secret forever. Naveia has a medical condition called ITP, it is a blood clotting disorder. If her platelets are low she can bruise and bleed very easily. At this time her counts are to low for her to travel. Please pray for her healing and my patience. I just want to bring my babies home and take care of them myself.
